We enjoyed our stay in Loretta tremendously. We chose the hotel to explore the castle vicinity, and it served the purpose well. The room was of good size yet warm and tastefully decorated in country-style. The attached bathroom was accessed through a little hallway and kept toasty hot, ideal as the outside temperature was below freezing point. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would come back again

An excellent hotel and good value. I would like to saty again. It i in a very quiet location and the accommodation was of a high standard. The staff were helpfuland the breakfast was good - the coffee was a bit tasteless. I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel Loreta lovely, clean and beautifully quiet as ever. Very disappointed that the hotel quoted 450CZK (or less) taxi fare to the airport when the taxi stand quoted 500CZK. Then the driver wanted 546 when we got to the airport after a 15 minute journey. Took the shine off a wonderful stay.

Very quiet and peacefull away from all the mayhem that is prague in the summer, just what you need after a days sightseeing. rooms were spotless and well furnished and staff were very helpfull and friendly . lots of restaurants nearby, special recomendation is the malay buddah just around the corner from the hotel, excellent food and very resonable. do not eat or drink at he pizza/pasta/czeck place on castle steps. very very expensive and poor quality. have recomended this hotel to all of our friends and would stay there again

We are only too happy to supply a good reference for the Hotel Loreta. The location was truly lovely, away from all the hustle and bustle down in the Old Town and although the restaurant shut at 6.00 p.m. - there were loads of restaurants within a stone's throw of the hotel where we could eat until late. The room was very clean and well furnished, quiet and with a pretty view of the Courtyard. Breakfast was an excellent 'continental' selection and available until a very reasonable 10 a.m. and the Manager friendly and helpful. A double bed would have been preferable than 2 beds pushed together as a double was booked, however that is our only gripe and not only have we recommended the hotel to our friends, but will definitely visit again ourselves. All in all we spent a very happy time at the hotel.

We were delighted with Hotel Loretta; we liked the quiet location, far from the bustling crowds. Hotel is handy to trams but the walk upthe hill is certainly good exercise. Management and staff all very friendly and helpful; breakfast very enjoyable in charming cave breakfast room; rooms most spacious and bathroom/shower facilities first class. A hidden gem in Prague and I would certainly recommend this hotel and stay there again.

Hotel Loreta is a very fine hotel, with a friendly staf, a simple but good breakfast which is served in a fantastic basement. The room is clean with enough space en very nice soft beds. Around the hotel it is very quit and yet you'll be in a 15 minutes walk at the Charles bridge. Back to the hotel we can recommend a tram (nrs 22 & 23) for only 18 Koruna p.p.

Fantastic location, we stayed in the hotel for a weekend and found that it was the ideal location for us away from the noise of the city, but still witin easy, if a steep walk from town. I am a bit fussy about cleanliness and could not fault this hotel. Hotel staff also very helpful. We would definately recommend it.

We were very pleased with the hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very quiet. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, with ham and eggs cooked to order. The staff were pleasant. The location is a delight, with attractive buildings and streets and plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. Being at the top of a hill proved to be no problem. It's a very attractive walk down the castle steps or Uvoz/Nerudova and the gradiant isn't bad for getting back. You can also get the funicular up Petrin Hill and and have an easy walk back through the park.

Perfect location and very nice hotel. There are large rooms, a hall and bathroom. The beds are of good quality. It is great to find the silence and peace after a day of visiting a busy city. Breakfast is great and the staff is very kind and very friendly. The meal we had on the last afternoon was great and we were served in the garden. It is true that when it rains you have to walk half a minute in the rain, but when visiting Prague you will walk more in the rain, when you are not that lucky as we were. One little personal remark, we thought is was a pitty that we could not have dinner in the evening in the hotel (formule : half pension ?). Most of the restaurants are closed at 5 or 6 o'clock. We found one on the square before the Castle that serves dinner until 9 o'clock. It was ok, but the food in the hotel was better.

My wife and I had a lovely time in Prague and we particularly liked the Hotel Loreta for its superb location, hospitable atmosphere and VERY reasonable pricing. We slept as though we were in a rural location since we could NOT HEAR any cars or traffic!! The Loreta and the Castle precincts were fabulous. Nearby restaurants and cafes were relatively inexpensive and the Strahov monastery, the park and the funicular railway were great! It was an easy walk down to the Stare Mesto and Charles Bridge and trams were frequent and fast. However, it would be useful to inform visitors that the nearest tram stop is Pohořelec on tram routes 23 and 22. Thanks again for a great stay. We were part of the Pražské Folklórní Dny 27.7 – 28.7.2007 and enjoyed perfroming in your lovely city!

Loved everything about the hotel apart from the cramped breakfast area - not easy when there are more than about half a dozen people getting their breakfasts. Rooms were clean & staff friendly. Will recommend it.

Good location and breakfast, possible to get tram for the uphill return. Room fine except shower overflowed onto bathroom floor every time no matter how careful we were. Arriving Sunday evening not good idea as most places to eat closed. Agree tea/coffee maker needed.

The Hotel was in a lovely area and very quiet at night. Although very clean the room was very small and smelled damp and was generally very disappointing. There was no lounge or sitting area and the dining room shown on the 'brochure' was not in use and the door was locked after 6 pm. The walk up the hill was heavy going but worth it to get away from the crowds. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice.

Having read the reviews of previous 'residents' of this hotel we were very excited about going and thought we had picked a winner! The hotel was clean and the breakfast ok (but be sure to get there 30mins before breakfast ends or you won't get any hot food! We were told breakfast was between 8 & 10am and they were very put out when we arrived at 9.45am for breakfast and one morning we weren't offered hot food at all.) The beds are like small trampolines and lean to one side - but having walked up the hill to get from the town to the hotel, your body just needs sleep! If you want silent in the evenings and don't mind walking down the hill again for food this is the place to go - although there is one nice bar / restaurant just around the corner that we ate / drank in to save the legs! Seriously do not under estimate the hill from the town and check out the good tram service as soon as you get there. Probably wouldn't go back to the hotel - beware that it's amazing what a wide angled / long photographic lense can do for a brochure! However if you want quiet, away from teh town and near the cathedral it's handy - and the airport is only 15/20 mins away.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Away from the crowds but with easy access to the Castle and on down to the old town. It is at the top of the hill but there is a tram stop near by which makes the journey back much easier.

Great hotel, lovely quiet location away from the crowds of tourists. We loved this side of the river and spent our whole time here, apart from a couple of hours on the other side where it was just way too busy! Hotel close to the castle and lots of good restaurants and bars. Breakfast was great, with cold meats, cheese etc plus the option to have eggs with ham or sausage. Uphill walk to the hotel is hard work, but worth it.

Hotel Loreta is lovely; quiet and out-of-the-way but in the heart of the castle district. The rooms were good; warm and clean and underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely in December! The staff are lovely and helpful (although the plumper, darker-haried manager is a bit grumpy and superior)and breakfast was excellent. All round great service and I would go again and recommend to friends. My only complaint was that there are no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room and it's not possible to get a hot drink in the evenings - quite important in winter. I guess most folk may find the mini-bar is adequatemost of the year. Future guests should be aware that it's an uphill walk (or a tram ride) from the main town centre. We loved this, because the locality is beautiful, interesting and peaceful, but don't stay here if you don't want to walk up and down hills. Also, it's worth noting that almost all hotels provide two single beds in the Czeck Republic - if you order a double they'll push them together. Just go prepared with this information and don't moan - that's how it is!

The Hotel Loreta is indeed a very good hotel, very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and helpfull. My only complaint and one which would stop me useing it again is the fact that i had booked a double room with double bed for my partner and myself,i really did not expect two separate single beds to be pushed together, i believe this to be the same in all the rooms, it was not what i had booked and paid for.

A very nice, small and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Must go outside to the hotel restaurant. Loreta is located in a pieceful area close to the castle and 15 min walk to Charles bridge. Note that the short walk is going down and then UP when return to the hotel.

The accomodation was first class. The staff were polite and the breakfast was of good quality As you left through the main entrance there were three main tourist attractions within walking distance.i.e Loretta Church, Prague Castle and the famous Libary and other historic buildings. At the top of the square could be found the wonderful tram service .I would reccomend that that you caught a Taxi from the Airport at a cost of four crowns as you will find it difficult in getting to Loretta by public transport having no experience of the geography.

Fantastic location, nice little extra's for a 3* hotel (soap, tissues, hair drier, shoe cleaning tissues, etc.), rich breakfast, manager provides excellent personal and very friendly service. Only disadvantage when raining: from room to breakfast room no roof. Will recommend Hotel Loreta to all friends!
