From March 2008 visitors to Prague can experience the unique privilege of staying on board of the GolfYacht Prague, a new luxury hotel on the Vltava river. The GolfYacht was built in Bremen in 1979 and served as a clubhouse for employees of the Czechoslovakian State Shipping Company in Hamburg. Jan Vlcek, a Czech entrepreneur with a passion for boating and golf acquired the boat and brought it to Prague in 2000, where it is positioned adjacent to the Karlín district just upstream from Prague city centre. The GolfYacht is designed as a luxurious base for the excellent driving range on Rohan Island (Rohanský ostrov).
The GolfYacht's romantic and luxury cabins are located on the lower deck and main deck respectively.
