Brief Hotel Description
BEST LOCATION - GREAT RATES - TASTY WINE- ROMANTIC
The wine Hotel Pinot represents an intimate family hotel, a combination of romantic settings and modern services with welcoming accommodation. It is located in the Lesser Town- right in the heart of the historical centre of Prague, only a few meters away from Charles Bridge, in a calm street Míšeňská. This location gives you a great opportunity to visit all Prague attractions. If you like the wine culture, we will please not only your taste buds, but also your wine-lover’s heart. If you don’t care about wine at all, no worries.
Additional Information
The building from the beginning of the 18th century was responsively restored in the first half of 2005 and is fully equipped. Beneath the building there are vaulted marl cellars. On the second floor you can find wooden and rendered ceilings and in the attic, parts of the interior are fitted with original wooden girders. During the reconstruction a new gallery was added on the second floor and new roof extension was built in what is today the exclusive suite.
WINE HOTEL
The concept of the Pinot Hotel is based on partnerships with some of the best and most interesting wineries of the Czech Republic. Each partner winery has patronage over one hotel room. If you’re interested in wine, you can get to know the particular winery’s wines over the room wine fridge and read all the information in materials, which you will find in your room. You can always order a good bottle of wine at the reception, in our wine bar, or in our wine cellar. You can of course buy wine for home or have us arrange the shipping to your country.
If you want more than that, there are several wine programs prepared for you. Apart from the wine bar or wine cellar the Pinot offers wine tasting and wine courses but also wine trips and travels to wineries and vineyards.
ROOMS
There are 13 double-bed rooms and one luxurious attic suite for a family or very demanding guests. You have a choice of rooms of various size oriented either to Míšeňská street, where all buildings are in baroque style, or to an inner quiet courtyard:
Double room DE LUXE There are six rooms of a DE LUXE category, situated in the oldest part of the hotel (built in 1725). The rooms bring back the history through their original stucco decorated ceilings, original beams and floors. Up to one exception (where the windows look to the courtyard) the view is to the neighbouring houses of Malá Strana with all windows heading to Míšeňská street, where you can watch the life of the historical town.
Double room SUPERRIOR Four rooms of the SUPERIOR category are situated on the second floor of a sunny courtyard. This is the new part of the building, built in 1925. The rooms are light and have access to the penthouse above the quiet courtyard. It’s a great place sit down for a moment, relax, enjoy a book or a glass of wine.
Double room STANDARD Three rooms of the STANDARD category are located on the ground floor and heading to the quiet hotel courtyard. This courtyard is an excellent place to sit down and relax, enjoy the atmosphere of a medieval town while listening to the distant sounds of the pulsing city
The Attic Terroir suite Our attic suit is over 90 square meters (about 270 square feet). It is a quiet space located in the inner part of the building and is particularly designed for our most demanding guests. Here you’re going to feel totally separated from the rest of the hotel and its standard rush. This suit is especially designed for families with children, business travellers and all people who deserve absolute privacy and exceptional luxury.
Leave your suitcase in the hall and take a tour around the two bedrooms and a lovely bathroom and rest on the porch with a fabulous view of the bridge tower and the roofs of the surrounding buildings. This is particularly wonderful after dusk when you watch the night fall. The porch is a perfect place where you can rest or enjoy a glass of wine.

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Pinot's Attic Terroir suite. The staff were extremely friendly, spoke excellent English and were more than happy to help. The downstairs restaurant is definitely worth a visit (or ask if you can take things to your room) as it has a lovely selection of excellent food and local wines (which the staff happily help you taste and select). The room was just as we expected from the photos shown and was excellent value for a group of three. I highly reccomend this hotel.
i have been in this hotel
for 4 nights and i have to say the best thing for me was the location just 5 minutes walk to the town, very well located
to bad for me was that i ordered a double bed and i get 2 single beds
but i got a very nice surprise on my birthday when i got in my room and i saw a nice bottle of wine and a card
was very nice from the staf
i recommend this hotel and for me its a value for money
This is a small very beautiful hotel with an excellent location. Our room was rather big and well designed and very cosy and clean, the staff was extremely serviceminded, helpful and friendly, and on top of it all, an adjecent Vinoteka with limited but good food and a good selection of wines. All in all one of the best and most beautiful hotels we have stayed in, and we have stayed in many. What an ambiance.
Our stay here was delightful but it was marred by one thing. when I booked I specifically requested 3 rooms all together on the same floor, as we were 3 couples and were celeebrating a couple of special birthdays. Although this was booked 1st June, so in plenty of time, this request was not heeded. We had to speak to reception and although we got 2 of the rooms changed, albeit to much better, bigger ones (why weren't we offered these in the first place?!) but still not all together as requested :O((. so if your not happy with the size/location of your room I would suggest you mention it to them.
During our 4 days stay we would like to say that the breakfast was belowe our expectations the two first days, but changed to very good the following period.
We also had bad luck with the refrigirator, but we saw that something was happening the right way and the defect items
was going to be replaced with new once.
And at alst- the safe in the room we got was not working well. We asked for another room, and it was no problem.
The position of Verona house are exellent, and the room was
spacious and clean. Beds were also comfortable.

Accomodation was really excellent (real 4Stars), position strategic (!), and even the small size of the hotel was an advantage ... Staff very friendly (thank you for the birthday basket!) and helpful when you need assistance ... We had a wonderful stay in Prague, and it was for a great part thanks to them ...

Lovely hotel with excellent location on a quiet street just behind Charles Bridge. We stayed at Room 32. Bright, spotlessly clean with big bath tub. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Most important of all, they took the effort to refill and reheat hot food items/coffee even it's just the two of us walking in for breakfast at 9:30 am (breakfast closes at 10). Think most other hotels would just ignore us and let us get what's left on the table. Verona made us feel we are their valued client -- very touching. Staff at front desk are friendly too. We early checked in at 11:30 am in the morning with no problem and no hassle. We enjoyed our Prague trip very much and Verona is one of the main reasons.

Fantastic location, 2-minutes walk to Charles Bridge. Few steps forward to Old Town. Very happy with service provided. Our shower was leaking and it was changed to a new one on the same day. Great! Unfortunately there was a time where our used tea-cups were not cleaned and replaced. But other than that, perfect and clean bedroom as well as shower room. Would recommend Verona House to my friends and look forward to staying there again.

Great location coversations in the street echo in to the front rooms at night. Helpful young staff who speak good English; one happily found all the information we needed to have a day trip east on the trains. Convenient for walks in the old town, castle etc. and for the metro and trams. Good breakfast with wide choice of quality food. Only concern - our room was not serviced one day and we never got our tea bags restocked; we did enjoy the courtesy bottle of wine.

Excellent location! 20 seconds away from Charles Bridge makes the whole of Prague accessible by foot. The tube is a 5 minute walk so you can be at the airport in less than 30min by public transport.
The accommodation was excellent; clean, warm and to a high standard. The photos were a little misleading as they must be the attic rooms but the ground floor room we had was still spacious and decorated to a high standard as well as access to the court yard which was really nice.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay and we look forward to visiting again.

Mind blowing location, just next to Chales' Bridge! Staff very helpful, at all times. Beautiful part of town, not as busy or noisy because less traffic. Will definitely recommend it.

Lovely Hotel, very quaint and interesting. Beautifully clean room, friendly helpful staff, plentiful breakfast. The wine bar was wonderful very atmospheric. The position is ideal for easy access to all areas of the city yet very quiet. Would definately recommend it and hope to come back again ourselves.

The location of the hotel, very close to the Charles Bridge, is ideal. Many objects of interest on either side of the river can easily be reached on foot. The service of the hotel-staff is excellent, the rooms are clean and convenient and there are facilities for hot and cold drinks. For breakfast there is a plentiful buffet.

We stayed in room 32, nice room, light, big bath tub. The hotel is clean and the staff really helpful and welcoming. The location is just perfect, especially just for a weekend as you are only a few steps away from everything. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, step outside, turn a corner and there was the tower of Charles Bridge! Must compliment prague.st on their more-than-efficient booking service even when we had to change our dates, also the hotel staff who allowed us to book-in online for our flights home. Breakfast was lovely, served in the little cellar-room which became a gorgeous cosy winebar at night. Couldn't give then hotel higher recommendations, though don't expect a view even if requested as the hotel is lower than most of the surrounding buildings. Stayed for three nights and had more than enough time to see all the main sights, take in a concert, ballet and the marionette theatre. Many thanks from Rebecca and James, Ireland.

Verona House is the perfect place to stay in Prague; great location, great price, nice breakfast & lovely rooms.
We originally requested a room similar to those seen on the net -our first room was nice, but a little smaller than exected.. However, we just mentioned it & were swapped into a bigger better room no problem!
Verona House has real character and charm, is so clean & well kept -if/when we return to Prague -we will be going back to Verona House. And I would definitely recommend it to my friends/family :)

This Hotel was FANTASTIC!!!
Great Location i could see Charles Bridge from my bedroom window!!
I had room 23, the one in the pictures!! It was simply briliant!!
There was a huge bath, that was lovely to soak in after a long day! The Breakfast was average, not a lot of choice.

Charming little hotel ideally situated only yards from the Charles Bridge but in a quiet street. The double room was OK, nothing above average but the staff were nice and freindly. The pics are obviously of the more expensive apartment or luxury rooms.

We had mixed feelings about staying at hotel Verona. As many other guests have said, the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, overall the hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great (served in the lovely wine bar attached to the hotel). However, the room (11) was very disappointing and nothing like the photo's of the rooms on the website. I'm sure there are some great rooms, but ours was small, crampted and dark, in addition it was not made up one day due to staffing problems. We were also annoyed with the taxi transfer service booked via the website - advertised as 'Private car transfer' we arrived to find we were sharing the car with another couple. The driver then overcharged us - quite a cheek as he was doubling up on the fare anyway! This issue was though sorted out by the very helpful receptionist as the hotel and we recieved a refund.

We stayed 4 delightful days in this hotel. Lovely hotel, clean quiet and comfortable rooms( a bit noisy we could hear our neighboord and smaller than we expected from the pictures) we was on the first floor room. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Wonderful breakfast with various things. We will be glad to return over there.
Sad no parking car at all in this hotel, and the location is a bit far and quite expensive 24 euros per day....Avoid the car. Daniel and Emma

This was our second visit to Verona House in two years- once again we were very impressed with the room, service, breakfast, cleanliness, location and relationship with the staff- they really are excellent.
Why do we like Verona House so much? It might not have a restaurant, jacuzzi, health club, disco or electric gadgets at the touch of a button but what it offers is does beautifully. As others have mentioned it is hardly like a hotel chain 4 Star and cannot be judged as such. If you want a perfect location, impeccable room and great service without gimmicks head for Verona- it’s just a great place to base yourself. This leaves you free to walk out of the door and choose from a plethora of amenities- and to your taste and at your price- and then return to escape the hustle and bustle of the Old Town.
Like most guests...of course we'll stay again!

We had booked, and the hotel had confirmed, a room with a view. Room number 31 was a small 'closet', on the top floor but with no beams and no view what so ever. We had a small window towards a courtyard. The bathroom was really small. We tried to change the room, but the receptionist told us to change the hotel instead. She said that they were overbooked and we are welcome to change to another hotel. She also said that as we had paid so little (109€ / night) of the room we cannot expect to get the better rooms.
She said as an example, that a couple had booked a room 2 days ago and paid 10€ more, so it is natural that they got the better room.... The hotel also told us that they don't have any rooms with a view, remember this as they are advertising the view on their web pages.
The location was perfect but I cannot agree on the 4 stars rating, max 2 stars.

Great location on a quiet street ,but within walking distance of all that prague has to offer. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and with helpfull staff, we would recomend this hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Prague is a beautiful city to visit and i must stress don't miss out the gardens that are close by they can be a welcome break from the busy city centre.
Also , perhaps not a place for young children as you do need to walk a lot and i did not see much to entertain them.

The hotel location was excellent and the staff freindly and helpful , however we were very dissappointed with the room both in size and style . Your website quites' Each room is arranged in historic style , with exposed wooden beams' this was not the case , our room was very small , no beams and the bathroom was tiny. There was no window in the room except out to an internal small courtyard so no views of anything . Luckily Prague was loveely and the weather was good so we didn't have to spend much time in this room . I booked by internet and paid a bit more than usual at 120€ because I expected a speacial 4 star room . THIS HOTEL/ROOM is NOT 4 STAR it was more like 2STAR.

An added bonus was Champagne on arrival - serious brownie points. Location was fantastic, literally around the corner from Charles Bridge, but off the tourist track, in a very quaint side street. Wine bar was used as the breakfast bar in the mornings and at night, it was lovely to have a few scoops before retiring to bed! Would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean, comfortable and an ideal location round the corner from Charles' Bridge on a quiet side street. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Our only disappointment was that the description of the hotel was misleading; many of the rooms, including ours, are in a modern 20th century extension with non of the interesting ceilings and beams promised in the 'Prague Sites' write up. Other than that very good.

Our first visit to Czech and we had just one night in Prague. The Hotel Verona House was exactly as described and was perfect for us. I recommend it and the truly friendly staff whole-heartedly. Five minutes' walk from the Metro in an old, quiet street and very close to the wonderful Charles Bridge. I'd booked 'a room with a view'. We were given No.32 at the top of the restored old stairs with an interesting view of the Gate to The Lesser Town, below the Castle. Attractive old building, sensitively refurbished and unpretentious. Clean and comfortable. The cheerful wine-bar was a bonus - for breakfast and later for a few glasses of the real thing before we set off reluctantly to the airport. If we spend any time in Prague again, we'll stay here.

Perfect location just around the corner from Charles Bridge and in a quiet area. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. I would recommend the booking of your taxi through the hotel also as its very convenient to be picked up at the airport and dropped right at the hotel doorstep. Agree with the comments of previous guests. Faultless location...it cannot be improved really for visiting the Old or Lesser Town. The choice of local bars selling Czech food is also a bonus as they are good value given the location just off the main walk ways. Room also smaller than the pictures suggest and not all with a bath as the pictures suggest...ours had a shower. However, rooms do have a quality feel. Staff were thoughtful and professional and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. They will, on request, make a cooked breakfast at no extra charge. We paid E105 per night and it was good value at that. In conclusion, a highly recommended hotel that we will return to.

The Hotel location was ideal, less than one minute from Charles Bridge, and was an excellent spot to tour the city on foot (we didn't need to use either trams or taxi's once)However I would ensure good footwear if you plan to do the same as the cobbled streets can be wearing.

Verona Hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Prague. It is on a side street just behind Charles Bridge right in the midst of the tourist trail. However, once you turn down the side street off Charles Bridge you leave all the hustle and bustle behind you. Perfect! Our room at the hotel was spotlessly clean and well looked after. However I was quite disappointed at its size. It was a very small room and also very stuffy. Thank God for the fan in the room. I feel that the pictures showing the rooms on the website were quite deceiving. They looked a lot bigger.
All in all it was a very nice hotel in a perfect location and I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Prague.

Things not mentioned in the blurb - there is a hairdryer and no tea/coffee making facilites in your room. Also will store luggage after check out if you are leaving the city later that day.

We were really so positively surprised about this tiny hotel, completely renovated. The rooms are really cosy and very clean - we got a room on first floor in the patio. The hotel is perfectly located just around Charles Bridge. Staff was really helpful. If you travel by car the staff can arrange pick up of car at hotel and storing in a safe garage. We found it a really convenient way. The breakfast consists of toast, hard eggs, cereals, juice, cheese, ham, preserves: for us it was sufficient. The breakfast takes place in a beautiful winebar next to hotel where you can even have an excellent choice of wine before going to bed. We will definitely return to this hotel for our next Prag Trip!
