Dahab
Dahab, meaning “gold” in Arabic, is also a name of an oasis near at the Egyptian seaside. The owners are from Egypt and they decided to make a restaurant – tea room space in the Prague Dlouhá street, near the Náměstí Republiky metro station and only a few steps away from the Roxy Music Club. The food includes specialities like cous cous with different kinds of meat and vegetables, typical yoghurt drink with mint leaves, yuleps and various sorts of tea. In the evening, the cool restaurant turns into a true tea house with belly dancers, people smoking water pipes and it all corresponds with a very unusual design, mosaic tables and colorful paintings on the walls. Dahab offers a great atmosphere, good food and medium prices, all served by authentic waiters, who speak bad Czech and English, but are eager to flirt with the ladies. And in case you find the oriental atmosphere boring, as was already said, the Roxy club is really just a few steps away. )
