AghaRTA jazz club

 

AghaRTA is one of those places that have a great atmosphere, beautiful interior and somehow manage to get all the best jazz acts in Prague, including Yvonne Sanchez and her band filling the air with Brazilian rhythms. The club got its name from a Miles Davis record and lives the true jazz and blues nostalgia. But that doesn’t come cheap. In fact, AghaRTA is quite an expensive club - this is explained by its location. 99 metres from Old Town Square seems to equal 99 crowns for a glass of wine.
The club is offering its visitors a great selection of jazz CDs, t-shirts and mugs with the AghaRTA logo at the club’s shop. The annual Agharta Prague Jazz Festival is a traditional event here and it hosted world-known artists like Diana Krall or Maceo Parker. That makes Agharta a perfect place for people with a taste in music and without money issues.
