Café Montmartre
It could easily become your favorite place in the whole Prague. Hidden near the Národní Třída metro station, it can be a great place for you to look into your map and have coffee or their daily soup or lunch menu at very reasonable prices. You will soon discover that this low-key café has its “residents” who have their own chairs and tables, and that you can hear French almost as much as you hear Czech, because tourists from France are attracted by the place’s name. It truly evokes the Montmartre style with old painted walls, a pianino, flowers and old armchairs everywhere, a large bar and pictures of Sarah Bernard. In the evenings, a café turns into a mix between a pub and a bar, with people comfortably sitting at their tables, listening to the rock or jazz music and talking quietly. The area also has a secluded salon in the back, a great place to have a birthday party or invite a group of people. The only problem is that it closes at 11 pm, which actually makes it rather appropriate for a party prelude. USEFUL LINKS |
