Maybe a little less lucrative opera scene than the National Theatre, it can compete with the grand building in terms of architecture. Not as lavish, the Pseudo-Rococo style building, first constructed as a German Theatre opposing the Czech-centered National Theatre scene, it was designed by the best architects and artists from Vienna only 5 years after its Czech rival. The very small scene with three curtains decorated by modern artists offers the best of the world operas and is visited by tourists and residents.
