This synagogue is a historical wonder, for it was built at the end of the 17th century, the period of cruel catholicization and anti-Semitic moods in the Habsburg controlled country. Today it offers a collection of Hebrew writings and also an exhibition showing Jewish traditions and rituals, the synagogue being part of the Prague Jewish museum.
