A baroque pilgrimage church built in 1626 was donated by Countess Lobkowitz. Its grandiose design and miraculous stories surrounding the building with a religious atmosphere were a part of king Ferdinand II campaign. After the battles over religion in 17th century, the vast majority of Prague citizens were protestants and Ferdinand II started an era of aggressive recatholisation.
