One of the National Gallery areas, the Sternberg Palace was named after count Sternberg, one of the leading figures of Prague National Revival cultural activities. It houses the gallery’s collection of 14th to 18th century European art including famous pieces by Goya, Rembrandt or El Greco. One of the collection’s highlights is Albrecht Dürer’s “Festival of the Rosary” acquired in the Rudolfinian period.
