Royal Garden

Created in 1535 for Ferdinand I, the first Habsburg to rule the Czech Kingdom, it is a great place for a spring or romantic autumn stroll. Its famous azalea and tulip garden is a part of the botanic history, being the place where tulips were first acclimatized to Europe before they were taken to Holland. Another part of the Prague’s Royal Garden, the Lions Court, is where Rudolph II kept his exotic animals.
