This tower was built in the 15th century and later it has been named after Dalibor of Kozojedy, a noble who supported a peasant rebellion and was later executed. His story was used by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana for his opera Dalibor. According to a legend, Dalibor learnt to play the violin in his prison cell and his instrument could be heard throughout the castle, reminding everyone of his unfair imprisonment.
