House of the Black Bear is the house No. 642 in the Old Town in Prague Týn (No. 6), which interferes with its rear part also Stupartska Street (No. 5). The houses cost between Řečických and the Blue Eagle, the Stupartska street it adjoins the house of suture Lukonos.
The first mention of the house is in 1428, today's wall layout originally crossed Tyn (during the archaeological survey discovered the remains of a ditch and palisade) and one house was standing outside and one inside. These two houses were connected in the Middle Ages. During the Renaissance main façade was rebuilt in the newly built ground floor and first floor. After the fire of Prague in 1689 the house was rebuilt in Baroque style, the other underwent a baroque reconstruction in 1718. In 1915 he was dropped from the entrance Stupartska street. In the 80 the 20th century the house was modified for the hotel was been approved in 1984.
The facade is decorated with statues of Tyn St. Leopold (right) and St.. Florian (left). It used to be a statue of St.. John of Nepomuk. At the top of the tympanum is a bust of Charles VI.
